薛亚辉副教授于2009年和2015年毕业于北京大学工学院力学与工程科学系,分别获得理论与应用力学专业的学士学位和固体力学专业的博士学位。2011年至2013年作为访问学者在德国盖斯特赫特亥姆霍兹研究中心材料研究所交流学习。2016年至2021年在美国加州大学伯克利分校进行博士后研究工作。2021年6月-2022年5月在南方科技大学力学与航空航天工程系任助理教授,2022年6月晋升为副教授。

主要从事微纳米力学、固-液界面力学、微纳结构材料等领域域的研究,致力于揭示液体在微纳米结构界面的多尺度力学行为和机理,利用新材料和新方法,解决微纳米结构的浸润稳定性、纳米尺度以及原子尺度液体传输的可控性等方面的关键科学问题。学术成果包括:

(1)建立了水下超疏水表面浸润状态和稳定性的热力学理论框架,阐明了静水压力、气体扩散和液体流动引发超疏水表面浸润转变的规律;发现了超疏水纤毛结构表面纤毛尺寸和间距之间存在的最优化幂律关系;揭示了壁面滑移依赖于粘附性的幂律关系和微观机理,为水下航行体和船舶的水动力设计提供了理论思路。

(2)提出了利用电毛细效应精确控制液体输运的新方法,实现了纳米尺度毛细流动在较低电压下的精确控制,揭示了新型微纳米多孔材料(即纳米多孔金和纳米碳管海绵)内的电毛细抽吸规律,实现了新型微纳米材料在油污回收上的应用。

(3)提出了原子尺度下离子超快、可控且选择传输的新机制,建立了预测原子尺度石墨烯通道内离子等效扩系数的平均场理论,发现了静电相互作用下离子密集排布引发其协同移动的力学机制,实现了原子尺度通道内电压开关可控、超快且选择性的离子传输,这对人工神经元的设计以及快速充电电极的开发等具有重要启示意义。
