讲席教授。1985年和1988年在长春地质学院(现吉林大学)分别获学士和硕士学位,1991年在北京大学获博士学位。先后在北京大学(1991-2014)和合肥工业大学 (2014-2017) 任教授,曾在法国雷恩大学、日本筑波大学、台北中央研究院工作。2017年加入南方科技大学。目前发表论文100余篇,主持国家杰出青年基金、国家自然科学重点基金、国家重点研发计划项目(首席)等10余项。2004年获“侯德封奖”,2016年获国家自然科学二等奖(排名第二),2019年获中华人民共和国成立70周年纪念章一枚,2014-2022年度Eisevier地球与行星科学领域高被引学者。
