The Southern University of Science and Technology (SUSTech) recently achieved great success at the 3rd Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macau Greater Bay Area’s University Students Art Festival and the 7th Guangdong College Student Art Exhibition.
Both events witnessed outstanding achievements by faculty members and students from the University across various competitions.
Among the winners were members of SUSTech’s Choir, Symphony Orchestra, Student Dance Troupe, and the Calligraphy and Paintings Club.
The SUSTech Choir’s rendition of “You Raise Me Up” and “Sea and Sky” secured first prize in the non-professional vocal music category, along with the Best Style Award.
Zhiren College’s Calligraphy and Paintings Club won the first prize for their works “Transcription of Ancient Poems” and “Yue Fei’s Full River Red” in the non-professional category of the art exhibition.
SUSTech’s Symphony Orchestra and Student Dance Troupe earned second prizes in their respective categories in the art exhibition.
Additionally, the ensemble piece “Piano Quartet in A minor” by SUSTech clinched the first prize at the 7th Guangdong College Student Art Exhibition.
These accomplishments at the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macau Greater Bay Area’s University Students Art Festival and the Guangdong College Student Art Exhibition underscores SUSTech’s commitment to excellence in cultural and artistic endeavors.
Both events are important annual brand cultural and art events organized by the Department of Education of Guangdong Province.
