Dear patrons:
According to the financial regulations of our university, the expenditure for book acquisition for this year will be completed by early December. The library will have to acquire books from book distributors rather than online bookstores, which will lead to delay of book arrival. Therefore, we are sorry to inform you that the expedited service of “Recommending a Purchase” will be suspended from December 1, 2019 to February 15, 2020. During the time, recommended Chinese books can be borrowed after 1-2 months of recommendation, and recommended foreign language books can be borrowed after 2-3 months of recommendation. We will notify the patrons by email when the books are available.
Book acquisition fund for 2020 is expected to be in place at the beginning of next semester, then the expedited service of “Recommending a Purchase” will be resumed.
