Libraries provided various remote services to meet the needs of teachers and students due to the severe epidemic in the first half of this year. In order to demonstrate the professionalism of librarians and the innovation of remote services, iGroup China and IEEE (Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers) organized the IEEE Cup Library Remote Service Creative Competition in September. The competition included two rounds. The top 13 popular libraries were selected in the first round of online voting, then the library experts reviewed and selected 3 best creative libraries.
Libraries from about 30 universities of China, including Fudan University, Huazhong University of Science and Technology, Sun Yat-sen University, Lanzhou University, Tianjin University, East China Normal University and Southern University of Science and Technology, participated in the competition. After more than one month of fierce competition, SUSTech library won the second place.
