Dr. Yang received her PhD in textual criticism at University of Washington (Seattle). She was also trained in history (BA) and paleography (MA), and has a wide academic interest in early Chinese texts, linguistics and archaeology. Before working for SUSTECH, Dr. Yang did research and taught courses on literature, film and Chinese language at University of Washington (WA), Elmhurst College (IL), The University of Akron (OH), John Carroll University (OH) and Kent State University (OH).
