SELF-INTRODUCTION:

Dr. Siyuan Xia graduated from Nankai University in major of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology in 2014. After graduation, she started to work at Emory University, School of Medicine, Department of Hematology and Medical Oncology as a Postdoctoral Fellow, and then promoted to be an Associate Research Scientist. She joined SUStech University and became a tenure-track Assistant Professor since August 2021. Her research interest focuses on cancer metabolism and cancer immunology, including metabolite functions in tumor microenvironment and cancer therapeutic strategies targeting metabolic pathways. She is well-experienced in the research of biochemistry, molecular biology, cancer cell biology and immunology. Dr. Xia has published 24 papers on high-profile journals (i.e., Cell Metabolism、Cancer Discovery、Molecular Cell、Journal of Immunology) and been authorized an US patent. Her future research will still focus on metabolite functions in tumor microenvironment, generate metabolite library, screen out metabolites which regulate the interactions between cancer cells and immune cells, study the underline mechanism and the combination strategies with cancer immunotherapies.
