Dr. Qing Guo joined the department of chemistry, South University of Science and Technology in April 2019. He obtained his bachelor degree of science from University of Science and Technology of China in 2007, and then he obtained his PhD degree from University of Chinese Academy of Sciences in 2013. From 2013 to 2019, he worked as research assistant fellow and research associate fellow at Dalian Institute of Chemical Physics, Chinese Academy of Science to continue his academic study in fundamental processes of energy related catalytic reactions. To date, he has published more than 40 research papers in peer-reviewed international journals, such as Adv. Mater., Annu. Rev. Phys. Chem., Chem. Soc. Rev., J. Am. Chem. Soc., J. Phys. Chem. Lett., and so on.

He mainly focuses his research interest in fundamental processes of energy related catalytic reactions. With the aim to give deep insight in the fundamental processes in catalytic and photocatalytic reactions, new scientific instruments were developed to investigate photocatalytic C-H bond activation of small alkane molecules and carbon chain growth, and the interaction mechanism between metal clusters and substrates.
