Prof. Che Chi-Ming, born in 1957, is an academician of Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS). He was the first scientist in Hong Kong and Macao to win this honor. He is also a Foreign Associate of National Academy of Sciences(USA), an academician of the Third World Academy of Sciences(TWAS), a Fellow of the Royal Society of Chemistry (FRSC), a member of the World Foundation for Innovation, and a fellow of Federation of Asian Chemical Societies(FACS).. In 2006, he won the first-class prize of the National Natural Science Award. He is an editorial board member of such renowned magazines as Chemistry—A European Journal, Chemistry—An Asian Journal and Trends in Inorganic Chemistry. He was invited to serve as a Guest-Chair Professor in Peking University, Nanjing University, Fudan University, Jilin University, Sichuan University, Beijing Institute of Chemistry of CAS, Shanghai Institute of Organic Chemistry of CAS, and other research institutions.
